FintechOS

FintechOS sells a product operations platform that banks, credit unions, building societies and insurers run above their existing cores to define, price, originate and service financial products. For banks the main offer is Unified Product, Pricing and Origination: one origination layer for deposits, loans, cards, mortgages and small business credit, in place of the separate origination stack many institutions keep for each product line. Insurers buy the Intelligent Policy Admin System on the same platform.

The AI sits in two places. Dex, a copilot for configuration, lets product and operations teams describe a product, its pricing tiers, eligibility rules or a workflow in plain language and have the platform build it. Specialized agents take bounded tasks inside workflows, such as document extraction, data validation and eligibility checks, under policy guardrails, with human checkpoints where a decision needs judgment. Data Core gives agents and staff one governed view of data held across cores, customer relationship management (CRM) systems, credit bureaus and know your customer (KYC) providers without moving it. FintechOS 8, the release that brings these together, opened to customers as a technology preview in April 2026.

The banking side ships as accelerators meant to go live in a quarter: consumer lending (unsecured personal loans, point of sale finance, buy now pay later and revolving credit) at TBI Bank, ProCredit Group and Vibrant Credit Union, retail mortgages at Avant Money, CEC Bank and Admiral Money, and cards, business loans and business onboarding alongside. Dex can write the scoring rules, decision trees and calculation models a credit product runs on from plain language, under policy guardrails. On the insurance side, Intelligent Policy Admin runs more than twenty live programs across property and casualty, life, health, pet and specialty lines.

FintechOS reports more than 60 financial institutions as customers, among them BRD Groupe Société Générale, Avant Money, Admiral and Howden. Saffron Building Society and Vernon Building Society chose it in 2026 for mortgage origination from broker registration to completion. Founded in 2017, it is headquartered in New York and London, with its operating company in Bucharest.

Capability Axes

Capability grades

15 of 15 axes rated · 5 graded A or B

AI Capability
AI Centrality
CC on AI CentralityArtificial intelligence is present but peripheral: a feature layer on a product whose value stands without it.
Vendor Published

The product and workflow engines are deterministic: Product Factory holds product structures, pricing and eligibility under version control, and origination runs as configured workflows. Dex speeds up building those products and workflows, and agents take bounded tasks inside them. Switch the models off and institutions keep a working origination and policy administration layer, so the AI makes it faster to change rather than carrying the core job.

Autonomy and Oversight Model
BB on Autonomy and Oversight ModelA written commitment that the models work alongside human judgment, with real review surfaces, short of the full control structure: commonly the threshold at which the system stops or what happens after it is wrong.
Vendor Published

The control model is stated in outline. Workflows are deterministic at the process level and agentic at the task level, each agent works on a bounded task inside policy guardrails, agent actions can be traced, and human checkpoints sit where decisioning warrants them. Dex works the same way for configuration, with every change auditable. The thresholds that send a task to a person, and what an agent may complete alone in origination, are left to each deployment.

Model Risk Management and Transparency
CC on Model Risk Management and TransparencyTransparency is claimed in general terms with no mechanism a model validator could interrogate.
Vendor Published

Transparency is described as traceability: agent actions are audit traceable and Dex changes are auditable. No model documentation, accuracy figure or validation approach for the agents or Dex is published. Product Factory validates product and pricing configurations through scenario simulations and produces test evidence before release, which tests the rules a product runs on. Scoring rules, decision trees and calculation models that Dex drafts from plain language fall under the same versioning and audit trail.

Operational and Outcome Evidence
AA on Operational and Outcome EvidenceNamed customers with hard performance figures and enough method to test them.
Vendor Published

BRD Groupe Société Générale cut the time to open a new account by 80 percent with FintechOS onboarding and origination above its existing cores, with AI identity verification and document processing in the flow, and reports 95 percent customer satisfaction across onboarding and lending. Avant Money, the Irish branch of Bankinter, cut mortgage origination from six months to nine days.

Admiral built and launched a pet insurance line in seven months, and its new digital claims platform now processes thousands of claims. None of these figures isolates what the agents or Dex contributed.

AI Safety and Data Stewardship
CC on AI Safety and Data StewardshipGeneral assurances that do not answer the question this axis asks, which is whether one customer’s data trains models serving its competitors. Unbounded cross client learning stated with no boundary grades here too.
Vendor Published

Whether one institution's data trains or tunes models that serve another, and how long agent working data is kept, is not stated. FintechOS describes its AI as governed: agents act within policy guardrails, and Data Core gives them a controlled view of source data rather than a copy in a central store.

Regulatory and Compliance
GLBA and Data Privacy Posture
CC on GLBA and Data Privacy PostureA standard privacy policy that covers the website rather than the service, or silence on a product that touches limited consumer data.
Vendor Published

The privacy statement, effective August 2023, covers visitors and the contacts of customers and suppliers. Client data processed on the platform sits outside it, and FintechOS publishes no data processing terms, subprocessor list or position on the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA) for the borrower and member data its US credit union and bank customers run through it. The statement names a data protection officer and the Romanian and UK entities in the group.

Security Certifications and Trust Center
BB on Security Certifications and Trust CenterA recognized certification named in the vendor’s own material without the artifact, or with a scope or renewal question the buyer has to raise.
Vendor Published

FintechOS states ISO 27001 certification and a SOC 2 Type 2 report for its information security management. Both are claimed in its privacy statement with no certificate, report, auditor or scope offered, and there is no trust portal. Microsoft's certified software designation also reviewed its security architecture on Azure.

Regulatory Status and Licensure
CC on Regulatory Status and LicensureThe regulatory position is unstated. Most vendors in this index are technology suppliers and being unlicensed is the correct posture, so this grade records silence about the posture, not a missing license.
Vendor Published

FintechOS is a software supplier and states no regulatory position for the platform or its AI, such as how it fits a bank's outsourcing or operational resilience obligations. Microsoft's certified software designation for Financial Services AI, awarded in March 2026, reviews interoperability, security architecture and responsible AI controls on Azure. That is a partner program, not a supervisory one.

AI Governance and Bias Disclosure
DD on AI Governance and Bias DisclosureNothing published on a product where the bias risk is concrete, such as credit decisioning or underwriting with no fair lending, disparate impact or adverse action disclosure.
Vendor Published

Agents run eligibility checks, and the Saffron deployment puts an AI embedded underwriting workflow beside automated decisioning, so the AI sits inside credit journeys. Dex can also write the scoring rules, decision trees and calculation models a credit product runs on from plain language, which puts the AI into the logic of the decision as well as the tasks around it. FintechOS publishes nothing on fair lending, disparate impact testing or adverse action reasons for those decisions. Its governance material covers guardrails, traceability and human oversight, and Microsoft's designation reviewed responsible AI controls in general terms.

AI Liability and Recourse
CC on AI Liability and RecourseMechanisms that enable challenge, such as audit trails and source traceability, with nothing standing behind the output and no route for the person affected.
Vendor Published

FintechOS commits to nothing when an agent or Dex output is wrong, and a borrower has no route of their own to it. The institution owns every decision the platform runs. What FintechOS does provide is the trail: agent actions are audit traceable and configuration changes are versioned, so a disputed outcome can be reconstructed.

Integration and Deployment
Model Supply Chain Disclosure
CC on Model Supply Chain DisclosureThe architecture is described and no provider is named.
Vendor Published

Which models power Dex and the agents, and who hosts them, is not stated. The platform is built on Microsoft Cloud and deployable on Google Cloud, which names the infrastructure without naming a model provider.

Core Systems and Integration Depth
AA on Core Systems and Integration DepthNamed integrations with the systems of record, core banking, policy administration, custodial or contact center platforms, verifiable in marketplace listings or public API documentation.
Vendor Published

Integration is the premise: FintechOS runs above existing cores and claims full API coverage across its engines, with public platform documentation and API references. Named integrations include Finastra Phoenix core and Finastra's digital banking for small business and consumer account opening, and the Finova servicing platform at Saffron Building Society.

Capabilities are exposed to workflows and agents as API calls and through the Model Context Protocol, and Data Core is aligned to Banking Industry Architecture Network service domains and Association for Cooperative Operations Research and Development (ACORD) insurance data standards.

The business lending accelerator comes pre integrated with credit bureaus, business credit data providers and accounting platforms across the US, UK and Europe, and the cards accelerator with major card networks, bank identification number sponsors and issuing platforms.

Deployment Model and Data Residency
CC on Deployment Model and Data ResidencyCloud only with nothing stated, which is the category norm.
Vendor Published

FintechOS 8 is built on Microsoft Cloud and became deployable on Google Cloud in May 2026, so an institution can run it on either cloud. Hosting regions, residency commitments and tenancy are not stated. Because Data Core reads source systems in place, much of an institution's data stays wherever its cores and CRMs are already hosted.

Commercial
Commercial Transparency
CC on Commercial TransparencyNo price is published and engagement runs through a demo form, which is the norm in this index.
Vendor Published

Pricing runs through a demo and a quote. The platform is listed on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace and Data Core on Google Cloud Marketplace, which gives institutions a procurement route through their cloud commitments, but no plan, rate or billing unit is attached to either.

Institution and Segment Coverage
BB on Institution and Segment CoverageNamed segments with dedicated material behind part of the coverage.
Vendor Published

Banks, credit unions, building societies and insurers are the named buyers, with one solution for banking origination and one for insurance policy administration. Building societies stand out in 2026, with Saffron and Vernon choosing it for mortgage origination, and credit unions drive its US growth, including Hanscom Federal Credit Union's digital account opening. FintechOS reports more than 60 institutions live in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Its accelerators name their banks: TBI Bank, ProCredit Group and Vibrant Credit Union for consumer lending, Avant Money, CEC Bank and Admiral Money for mortgages, and ProCredit Group, Société Générale and Victoria Bank for business loans. Beyond the banking and insurance solutions, no segment has an offer of its own.
