Alkami

Alkami sells a digital sales and service platform to regional and community banks and credit unions, built around what it calls anticipatory banking: using account holder data to predict needs and surface the next offer. MANTL onboarding opens retail accounts in about five minutes and business accounts in about ten, and connects to 25 of the leading core systems. Digital banking serves retail, small business and commercial account holders, with voice activated transactions across devices that hand off to live agents, business payments from a Nacha Preferred Partner, and a software development kit and interfaces that let institutions and certified partners build their own features. Data and marketing adds predictive AI models that tag account holders by likely loan adoption, deposit growth and attrition risk, and operational data insights give frontline staff 90 days of near real time user activity.

Fraud tools sit across the platform, with AI and machine learning detection built on behavioral biometrics, real time anomaly detection and mule account monitoring, alongside account takeover defense, Check and automated clearing house (ACH) Positive Pay and phishing takedown. Gate City Bank reports a 63 times average return on the data and marketing solution over the last year, and Alliant Credit Union raised $500 million in deposits in six months with MANTL. More than 6,500 new users join the platform each day. The company is based in Plano, Texas.

Capability Axes

Capability grades

15 of 15 axes rated · 3 graded A or B

AI Capability
AI Centrality
CC on AI CentralityArtificial intelligence is present but peripheral: a feature layer on a product whose value stands without it.
Vendor Published

Predictive models tag account holders by likely loan adoption, deposit growth and attrition risk, and fraud tools use machine learning, behavioral biometrics and anomaly detection. Strip those out and account opening, digital banking and the campaign tools still run, so the models sharpen a platform rather than carry it.

Autonomy and Oversight Model
CC on Autonomy and Oversight ModelAutonomy is claimed and oversight is asserted without a mechanism, or full automation is presented as the entire disclosure. Human in the loop appears as a phrase rather than a described control.
Vendor Published

Fraud detection is described as stopping suspicious activity early, with no threshold, review queue or override path published for flagged sessions or payments. On the marketing side, model outputs arrive as data tags that staff use to build campaigns, so a person decides who is contacted and with what offer, and voice activated transactions hand off to live agents when needed.

Model Risk Management and Transparency
CC on Model Risk Management and TransparencyTransparency is claimed in general terms with no mechanism a model validator could interrogate.
Vendor Published

Accuracy, validation and monitoring figures for the predictive models go unpublished, beyond the claim that they are purpose built for the financial industry. What Alkami does state is more than fifteen years of data modeling and analysis for regional and community banks and credit unions.

Operational and Outcome Evidence
AA on Operational and Outcome EvidenceNamed customers with hard performance figures and enough method to test them.
Vendor Published

Gate City Bank, live since September 2024 on a Fiserv DNA core, reports a 63 times average return on the data and marketing solution over the last year, 61 percent more average monthly logins than on its previous platform, about 20 percent more digital banking users and retail accounts opened in 4.65 minutes on average, in a case study Alkami published in September 2026 and announced on September 29.

The same bank grew its treasury automated clearing house origination customers by 47.7 percent without adding staff, and through BioCatch in Alkami's partner ecosystem reached a 97 percent account takeover capture rate, deterring about $650,000 in fraud losses over six months.

Alliant Credit Union raised $500 million in deposits in six months with MANTL, more than half of Texoma's members adopted its new digital banking within two weeks, and Altra Federal Credit Union and Capital Credit Union are quoted on the engagement and cross sell models finding account holders their own lists had missed.

AI Safety and Data Stewardship
CC on AI Safety and Data StewardshipGeneral assurances that do not answer the question this axis asks, which is whether one customer’s data trains models serving its competitors. Unbounded cross client learning stated with no boundary grades here too.
Vendor Published

Whether one institution's account holder data trains models used for another, and how that data is bounded, is not addressed. The models draw on what Alkami calls proprietary insights from billions of transactions, plus the enriched first party data it produces for each institution.

Regulatory and Compliance
GLBA and Data Privacy Posture
CC on GLBA and Data Privacy PostureA standard privacy policy that covers the website rather than the service, or silence on a product that touches limited consumer data.
Vendor Published

The privacy policy covers information collected through Alkami's website, with retention tied to the purpose of collection, sharing with contracted service providers and rights to review, correct or delete. Account holder data inside the platform, including the transaction data that feeds its predictive models, falls outside that policy.

Security Certifications and Trust Center
CC on Security Certifications and Trust CenterA single footer line, or certifications asserted without being enumerated, which is weaker than naming them because it invites an assumption a buyer cannot check.
Vendor Published

Security is described as a multi layered framework covering infrastructure, applications and data, with credential stuffing defense, continuous monitoring and phishing takedown offered to institutions, though no audit report or certification for Alkami's own operations is named alongside it.

Regulatory Status and Licensure
CC on Regulatory Status and LicensureThe regulatory position is unstated. Most vendors in this index are technology suppliers and being unlicensed is the correct posture, so this grade records silence about the posture, not a missing license.
Vendor Published

Alkami supplies software to licensed banks and credit unions and states no regulatory position of its own. Its predictive models are described as purpose built for the financial industry to satisfy regulatory requirements, without naming the requirement or the supervisory guidance they meet.

AI Governance and Bias Disclosure
CC on AI Governance and Bias DisclosureResponsible artificial intelligence committed to in policy language with no evaluation behind it, on a product whose bias surface is modest.
Vendor Published

Fairness statements, testing methods and a governance process are all absent for the models. Loan cross sell, deposit growth and attrition models decide which account holders see which offers, a targeting surface with fair lending relevance, while behavioral biometrics screen sessions for fraud.

AI Liability and Recourse
DD on AI Liability and RecourseNothing published on who bears the loss when the system is wrong.
Vendor Published

Who bears the loss when a fraud model blocks a legitimate account holder or misses a fraudulent payment is unaddressed, and no route is described for an account holder to contest a flag.

Integration and Deployment
Model Supply Chain Disclosure
CC on Model Supply Chain DisclosureThe architecture is described and no provider is named.
Vendor Published

Alkami names no provider for its predictive models and publishes no subprocessor list. Those models run on the enriched first party data it produces for each institution and on its own transaction insights. On the fraud side, at least one supplier is named: Gate City Bank's account takeover results came through BioCatch, a partner in Alkami's ecosystem.

Core Systems and Integration Depth
BB on Core Systems and Integration DepthNamed systems or a documented public API, with the depth or the production evidence left open.
Vendor Published

Gate City Bank runs Alkami with a Fiserv DNA core, and MANTL supports 25 of the leading core systems. A software development kit, interface components and interfaces connect the platform to customer relationship management, loan origination and enterprise systems, data leaves by interface or batch extract into business intelligence tools, and a curated partner ecosystem supplies pre integrated fintech solutions, fraud monitoring tools among them. Connexus Credit Union built custom features on the kit and reports a return within three months.

Deployment Model and Data Residency
DD on Deployment Model and Data ResidencyNothing published about where the system runs or where the data rests.
Vendor Published

Where the platform runs, in which regions and under what residency terms is not described, a gap for institutions whose examiners ask where account holder data sits.

Commercial
Commercial Transparency
CC on Commercial TransparencyNo price is published and engagement runs through a demo form, which is the norm in this index.
Vendor Published

Buying starts with a demo request. Price, tiers and the unit of charge for the platform and its data and marketing solution are unpublished, so cost becomes known only in a sales conversation.

Institution and Segment Coverage
AA on Institution and Segment CoverageThe financial segments served are named and each carries its own maintained material, whether the coverage is broad or deliberately narrow.
Vendor Published

Banks and credit unions each have their own material, and retail, small business and commercial account holders each get their own banking and onboarding products. Regional and community institutions are the buyers, from digital only Quontic Bank to credit unions such as Texoma and Raiz.

Oct 8, 2026Security / compliance

Alkami's Fall 2026 platform release lets authorized institution staff manage PGP encryption themselves for data extracts delivered from the Alkami data lake. Business accounts now need an authorized approver before a new authorized user goes live or an existing one is removed, and staff with read only access can view business wires and admin without changing them. The release also adds SWIFT and IBAN validation before international payments, and Mitek and Unit21 join as Alliance partners.
