Directory of AI communications surveillance and archiving vendors for financial firms

The AI FinTech Index holds 7 of them, each graded on the same 15 capability axes from public sources, with the artifact every grade was read from attached to the record.

No vendor pays for inclusion, placement or rating. Counts generated 2026-08-24 across 490 indexed vendors. What moved is in the change log.

Precision at scale is the standard, because legacy lexicon systems produced the alert fatigue this generation claims to fix. These products also document the employee as clearly as the customer, so ask what an individual is told and whether findings can reach employment decisions.

What the public record shows in this directory

The share of the 7 indexed vendors here whose public record answers each of the nine regulatory questions a financial institution diligence process works through, and where this directory ranks against the other 50 directories in the index on the same question, highest share first. A thin share means the public record is thin, not that a control is absent.

The finding in this segment

Every vendor in this segment is graded C on AI governance and bias disclosure. All seven, without exception, and it is the only axis in the segment where the record is uniform. These products decide which employee messages and which customer conversations get escalated to a compliance officer, so a false flag is an allegation against a named person that can reach a supervisory record, a licence or a career, and the systems making that call publish nothing about how they were tested for it. The exposure is specific rather than abstract: linguistic surveillance reads accented speech, code switching, second language phrasing and cultural register unevenly, several of these vendors run offshore review operations, and none publishes an error breakdown by speaker, language or communication type. The individual under surveillance is also structurally unable to raise it, because the whole point of the product is that they do not know which of their messages was scored. Ask for the false positive rate broken down by speaker population before signing, and ask what an employee is told when a flag against them is dismissed.

In summary

The AI FinTech Index lists 7 AI communications surveillance and archiving vendors for financial firms, graded on 15 capability axes from public sources with no paid placement and no aggregate score. Across this directory the best documented part of the public record is regulatory status and licensure at 100 percent, and the thinnest is AI governance and bias testing at 0 percent, which is 44 highest of 50 directories in the index on that question. Across the whole index of 490 vendors, none documents all nine regulatory axes in public and the average documents 2.94.

LeapXpert
LeapXpert lets employees at regulated firms talk to clients on the consumer messaging apps those clients actually use, while every message is captured, timestamped, made immutable and routed into the firm's archiving, surveillance and eDiscovery systems. Employees work from Microsoft Teams, Slack or a dedicated app under a separate business identity while the client stays on WhatsApp, iMessage, WeChat, Signal, Telegram or text, and the platform applies policy enforcement, information barriers, supervision and data loss prevention at the point of communication.

MirrorWeb
MirrorWeb captures, supervises and archives the communications regulated firms are obliged to preserve, spanning email, messaging apps, collaboration tools, terminal chat, voice, social media and live websites, and stores them immutably so the record satisfies retention rules. Its supervision engines, branded Mira, score and surface the highest risk material for human review with the trigger behind each alert shown, route it to the right reviewer, and build the audit trail as supervision happens. A mobile application lets employees mark which contacts are work related so only those conversations are archived. On 26 July 2026 MirrorWeb combined with Red Oak Compliance Solutions, a fellow Mainsail Partners portfolio company, to cover the full regulated communication lifecycle from content creation and advertising review through distribution, supervision and archiving. The combined business operates under the Red Oak name and is led by MirrorWeb chief executive Romir Bosu. MirrorWeb continues to ship and sell under its own name for an interim period, and the company has stated that it will transition to the Red Oak name once the combined customer experience is built out.

Recordsure
Recordsure applies speech and document analytics to the conduct oversight problem in retail financial advice, capturing face to face and remote client conversations through its own recording app, transcribing and classifying them, and surfacing the files and moments a compliance reviewer should look at. Its case review product ingests documents and transcripts from adviser practice management systems and works through suitability and ongoing service checks at scale. The models are deliberately predictive rather than generative, and the platform is built so that no ultimate customer outcome or suitability decision can be made by the machine. Buyers are tier one banks, wealth managers and government bodies in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Rulebase
Rulebase reviews every customer interaction a financial services firm has, across calls, chats and emails, replacing the three to five percent sample a human quality assurance team can manage with full coverage scored against the firm's own procedures. It flags compliance breaches, skipped authentication and service failures in real time rather than in a post call review days later, coaches agents individually from what it finds, routes issues into the tools teams already work in, and runs agents that carry disputes and stalled onboarding cases through to resolution.

Solidus Labs
Solidus Labs provides trade surveillance, transaction monitoring and investigation tooling across digital assets, derivatives and equities, positioning itself as born in crypto but built for traditional markets. Its detection works at the behavioural level, analysing trader conduct, order flow and execution patterns rather than price or volume anomalies alone, to find spoofing, layering, wash trading, front running, insider trading, pump and dump schemes and cross venue manipulation. A venue agnostic architecture normalises data from centralised and decentralised exchanges, over the counter and derivatives markets and traditional venues into one schema, and correlates trading with trader profiles, onchain signals, funding flows and social sentiment. Its HALO platform unifies surveillance, monitoring and know your customer alerts, and can reconstruct an order book from any timestamp. Customers include both of the largest prediction market venues, and the company sits on a United States derivatives regulator's advisory committee.

Theta Lake
Theta Lake captures, archives and supervises the full range of modern collaboration, covering voice, video, chat, screen share, digital whiteboards, in meeting reactions and now AI generated summaries and transcripts, across more than a hundred interface based integrations with the platforms regulated firms actually run. Machine learning detects conduct, privacy and security risks inside that content rather than keyword matching text alone, and firms can archive to Theta Lake's own retention compliant store or keep their existing archive. Buyers span financial services, healthcare, insurance and the public sector.

U
Umony
Umony captures, archives and monitors regulated communications for banks, hedge funds and private equity firms, across mobile calls, text messages, chat, email, voice and video, including third party platforms such as messaging apps, collaboration tools and mail. Its distinguishing choice is architectural: recording happens inside the carrier network rather than on employee handsets, so it does not depend on device settings, capture software or third party applications, cannot be switched off or bypassed by the user, and produces records the firm can defend. Archiving is built for financial record keeping requirements, and generative models monitor communications in 47 languages in real time to surface potential misconduct. The advisory board includes a former head of the United Kingdom conduct regulator and a former United States securities prosecutor.

Common questions

Is there a directory of AI communications surveillance and archiving vendors for financial firms?

Yes. The AI FinTech Index lists 7 AI communications surveillance and archiving vendors for financial firms, each graded on the same 15 capability axes from public sources, with the artifact every grade was read from attached to the record. No vendor pays for inclusion, placement or rating, no vendor is contacted before it is listed, and nothing sits behind a form. Counts generated 2026-08-24.

What counts as conduct and communications surveillance in this directory?

Screened to capture, archive and supervision of conduct and communications. Regulatory change tracking and marketing review are held separately. The index holds 7 vendors meeting that screen, drawn from a wider Compliance, Surveillance & RegTech category and from adjacent categories where the vendor belongs on the same shortlist. A vendor filed under a different category can still appear here, because a buyer building this shortlist does not sort by our filing.

What should a buyer check before shortlisting conduct and communications surveillance vendors?

Start with what this segment does not publish. Across the 7 indexed vendors, the thinnest parts of the public record are AI governance and bias testing at 0 percent, deployment model and data residency at 29 percent, and liability and customer recourse at 29 percent. A thin public record predicts the length of a diligence process rather than the absence of a control, so these are the questions to put in writing early. Precision at scale is the standard, because legacy lexicon systems produced the alert fatigue this generation claims to fix. These products also document the employee as clearly as the customer, so ask what an individual is told and whether findings can reach employment decisions.
