Vneuron
Vneuron sells the Reis Risk and Compliance Suite, an AML and counter terrorist financing platform for banks, insurers, leasing companies, investment funds, brokers, money transfer businesses and microfinance institutions. It covers risk based customer due diligence, name and sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, trade based money laundering monitoring, case management and regulatory reporting, all configured without code.
Machine learning sits alongside a rules engine. Pretrained algorithms detect known laundering scenarios, self learning algorithms use historical data to cut false positives, and lookalike modeling finds behavior that resembles established patterns. Rules are written in natural language, name screening works across Arabic, Farsi, Russian and Chinese scripts, and teams can build and test algorithms of their own. The trade module reads bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and letters of credit with document AI, and an AI rule assistant turns a plain language need into a detection scenario.
Vneuron was founded in 2007 and moved from systems integration to its own software in 2011. It is registered in Reims, with offices in Paris, Tunis and Doha, where it set up at the Qatar Financial Centre in 2022. It says more than 250 institutions in over 45 countries use Reis, with more than 15,000 users. Named customers include CBZ Bank in Zimbabwe, Atlantic Financial Group's banks in Cameroon, Gabon, Comoros and Mali, the money transfer firm NITA in Niger and the Tunisian insurer Maghrebia. The platform installs on premises, runs as SaaS or mixes the two branch by branch, and Chartis named it a category leader for KYC solutions in 2023.

Reis is a configurable compliance platform first. Due diligence forms, workflows, natural language rules, name screening across scripts, case management and regulatory reporting make up most of the product. Machine learning supports transaction monitoring with pretrained algorithms for known scenarios, self learning on historical data and lookalike modeling for patterns that resemble them.
In trade finance, document AI reads bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and letters of credit for red flags such as dual use goods, over and under invoicing and phantom companies. An AI rule assistant turns a plain language detection need into a trade scenario.
Workflows are drawn with a drag and drop editor and can require multilevel collective decisions, so an institution can put several reviewers on a case before it closes. Trade alerts pass through a maker checker step with AI drafted case summaries. Reporting drafts a summary of suspicious activity automatically, and case management can automate filing. Vneuron does not say how automated filing is approved or what the machine learning may clear without a reviewer.
Teams can build and test their own algorithms and tune filtering rules on historical AML data, and activity logs record every user change to processes and rules. Vneuron reports no precision or recall and does not describe how a model or rule change is validated before release.
CBZ Bank, the flagship of Zimbabwe's listed CBZ Holdings, signed for Reis in November 2025, with its managing director backing the choice. Atlantic Financial Group's technology arm chose it in 2021 for the group's banks in Cameroon, Gabon, Comoros and Mali. NITA, a money transfer firm working across seven African countries, took every Reis module, Tunisian insurer Maghrebia completed its integration in 2020, and broker Tunisie Valeurs signed to adopt the platform in 2018.
These references carry no outcome figures. Vneuron says more than 250 institutions in over 45 countries use Reis, up from more than 200 in 26 countries in 2020, and Chartis named it a category leader for KYC solutions in 2023.
Self learning algorithms train on historical AML data to cut false positives, and pretrained algorithms arrive ready for known scenarios. The processor commitments in Vneuron's privacy policy cover hosting, not model training. Vneuron does not say what the pretrained models learned from, or whether one client's data informs another's models in the SaaS service.
Vneuron's privacy policy, updated in October 2025, says it acts as data processor when it hosts client end user data for AML and counter terrorist financing, and keeps that data only as the controller instructs. Clients get help with data subject requests and prompt notice of any breach. The policy lists no subprocessors, hosting locations or transfer mechanisms, and sets no breach notice deadline in hours.
Vneuron reports no security certification, audit report or trust center. Its privacy policy cites encryption, firewalls and access controls where applicable, and the platform runs real time system monitoring with alerts.
In 2019 Vneuron obtained an AML 30000 certification, without naming the scheme owner or certifying body. It works from the Qatar Financial Centre's fintech hub, where it set up in 2022, and has a delegated registration authority agreement with Tuntrust, Tunisia's national certification authority, to issue electronic signature certificates. Reis is configured for international know your customer, due diligence and AML frameworks and for PSD2.
Vneuron screens names across Arabic, Farsi, Russian and Chinese scripts and models customer behavior by resemblance to known patterns, for clients across Africa, the Middle East and Europe. Results from both can differ by name origin and payment corridor. Vneuron calls its AI explainable without setting out the method, and describes no fairness testing or bias monitoring for its models.
Vneuron's privacy policy says it is neither informed of nor responsible for its clients' decisions to accept or deny an individual or entity, so each decision, and any correction, rests with the institution. Automatic logging of user activity leaves that institution a trail behind each decision.
Pretrained and self learning detection, document reading and report drafting ship with Reis without named models behind them, and teams can add algorithms of their own. Name screening draws on global data providers Vneuron does not identify, and the SaaS host is not identified either.
A dedicated integration module offers native interfaces for databases, flat files and message queues, plus synchronous and asynchronous connections over APIs and SFTP. Reis connects to legacy insurance systems and to ERP and CRM software, though Vneuron names no core banking system. The API is documented in OpenAPI 3, with an SDK and more than 40 examples in C, Java, JavaScript and Ruby, and regulatory reports file through a native goAML integration.
Reis installs on premises or in the cloud, on one server or many, with load balancing and built in redundancy, and an institution can run some branches in the cloud and others on premises. A SaaS offering on a cloud microservices architecture has been sold since 2020, from a hosting provider and regions Vneuron does not name. The application was built in Java on PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch when Vneuron tested it on Amazon's Graviton2 servers in 2020.
Pricing is by quote, module by module, with no price list, tiers or implementation timeline. Installed software and, since 2020, SaaS are both on offer, and Vneuron says rollout is fast and leaves existing systems undisturbed.
Banks, insurers, leasing companies, investment funds, stock market intermediaries, money transfer businesses, microfinance institutions and fintechs are the stated buyers, with configurations for life and nonlife insurance and for PSD2 payment providers. Vneuron reports more than 250 institutions in over 45 countries, and named customers run from CBZ Bank in Zimbabwe and Atlantic Financial Group's banks in Cameroon, Gabon, Comoros and Mali to Tunisian insurers and brokers. Offices in Reims, Paris, Tunis and Doha serve a base weighted toward Africa, the Middle East and France.
