Crealogix vs FNZ (2026)

Last VerifiedOctober 13, 2026
Verdict

A wealth manager weighing these two is deciding how much of its business to hand over. FNZ takes almost all of it: technology, custody, trading, administration and reporting run inside FNZ's own regulated firms, for banks, wealth managers, insurers and asset managers with over US$2.5 trillion on the platform. Crealogix takes the client facing layer only. Its Digital Hub supplies portals, apps and adviser tools above the core systems the firm keeps. The AI follows the same split. FNZ builds on Microsoft's Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI models, pools anonymized data from every client in an Aggregated Data Warehouse and offers Advice AI to advisers. Crealogix's assistant answers end clients by chat and voice and learns from the conversations of the firm that deploys it, without saying whether that learning stays inside one firm. FNZ also names the authorities that supervise it, the Financial Conduct Authority and the Central Bank of Ireland. Neither vendor publishes a security certificate for its platform, an accuracy figure for its AI or terms for who pays when that AI is wrong.

Select Crealogix if
  • Operations, custody and administration stay in house. Crealogix supplies only the client facing layer, so the firm keeps control of its back office and its core.
  • End clients want answers at any hour without calling an adviser. Crealogix's assistant replies in chat and by voice, in more than 15 languages.
  • Advisers need current product and rate information in front of them. Crealogix's assistant also keeps advisers up to date on changes in products, processes, interest rates and regulatory requirements.
  • The budget calls for modules rather than a platform migration. Crealogix sells its products as software as a service in modules a bank adds as it needs them.
Select FNZ if
  • The firm wants to outsource custody, administration and operations along with the technology. FNZ runs them inside its own regulated firms, supervised by the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom and the Central Bank of Ireland.
  • Speed to launch matters. Aviva built a new customer experience on FNZ in a nine month deployment.
  • Advisers need help preparing and personalizing client conversations. FNZ's Advice AI is built to help advisers engage clients proactively and personally.
  • The firm's technology strategy is built on Microsoft. FNZ's five year partnership puts Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI models and Microsoft Fabric at the core of its platform.

The short version of each

Crealogix

Crealogix builds digital banking and wealth management front ends that sit over a bank's existing core, from a base in Zurich. Wealth firms such as LGT use it for client apps, portals with fund level detail and secure messaging, while retail, corporate and public sector banks use other modules for lending, development bank funding and payment files. Its conversational assistant handles chat and voice in more than 15 languages, Arabic included. More than 600 institutions in 15 countries are customers, and Vencora, a Constellation Software group, owns the company.

FNZ

FNZ provides banks, wealth managers, insurers and asset managers with an end to end wealth platform and the operations behind it, run through regulated FNZ firms in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. Advice, onboarding, portfolio management, custody and trading sit on one system serving nearly 30 million people. Its AI runs on Microsoft's Azure AI Foundry, and in the AI FinTech Index FNZ names its model supply chain more fully than Crealogix, which names no model provider. Santander, Vanguard and Aviva are among its clients.

Buyer Questions

Common questions

Does FNZ use one client's data to serve another?

In aggregate, yes, and it says so. FNZ's Aggregated Data Warehouse combines anonymized data from all its clients to produce analysis no single client could, and that pooled set underpins its AI productivity suite. How the data is anonymized and whether a client can opt out are the points to settle before signing. Crealogix's assistant learns from the deploying bank's conversations and does not say whether that learning is shared across customers. Which one can replace a wealth manager's back office?

FNZ. Custody, trading, administration and reporting run inside its regulated firms, with technology and operations sold together. Crealogix stays on the client side, with portals, apps, adviser tools and the assistant connecting to whatever back office and core the firm already runs. Graded by AI FinTech Index against the same capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

Can a firm tell which model wrote a client communication?

Not from either vendor's public material. FNZ names its Microsoft stack, Azure AI Foundry with Azure OpenAI models, but not the model or version behind Advice AI. Crealogix describes its assistant as natural language understanding with automation on top and names no model or provider, while Amazon Web Services hosts its cloud environments. Graded by AI FinTech Index against the same capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.

What belongs in the due diligence pack for both?

A security certification or attestation report, because neither publishes one for its platform. An accuracy measure for the AI, which neither publishes either. And written liability terms for a wrong output, which for FNZ means an adviser acting on generated material and for Crealogix a client reading a wrong answer from the assistant. Graded by AI FinTech Index against the same capability axes from each vendor's own published materials, verified October 13, 2026. No vendor pays for placement.
