NetSol Technologies
NetSol Technologies builds software for asset finance and leasing, sold mainly to the finance arms of car and equipment makers and to the banks and leasing companies that fund vehicles and equipment. Transcend Finance covers originations, contract servicing and wholesale finance for dealer inventory, Transcend Retail handles digital vehicle sales for dealers, and add on products include the Flex quotation engine and the Hubex API library. NFS Ascent, the earlier generation of its finance platform, is still in use. Check AI, launched in October 2025, is a credit decisioning engine inside Transcend Finance that pulls in financial statements, credit histories and market indicators, writes research reports and recommends finance structures, with analysts reviewing its output through a chat interface.
NetSol is listed on Nasdaq and based in Encino, California, with development in Lahore, Pakistan, and serves customers in more than 30 countries. Revenue reached a record $74.4 million in the fiscal year to June 2026, with Asia Pacific producing 68.9 percent. In fiscal 2025, Daimler and BMW together accounted for about 35 percent of revenue. BMO Equipment Finance moved to Transcend Finance during fiscal 2026, Toyota Leasing Thailand, a customer for more than twenty years, upgraded its platform, and a Chinese leasing company went live in Indonesia in July 2025.

Transcend Finance is a contract and portfolio system for asset finance, and its originations, servicing and wholesale modules run on configured products, calculations and workflows without any model. AI arrives through specific products. Check AI gathers data from several sources, reads documents, runs financial analysis and writes research reports that suggest finance structures and profile risk.
Intelligent document processing extracts and classifies loan documents, an AI Assistant answers questions and guides staff inside the platform, and both are sold on their own as well as inside Transcend. NetSol's fiscal 2026 annual report adds that the platform lets customers build and deploy agents that work on their own data, and Transcend AI Labs, set up in March 2025, builds custom models for clients. Without the models, NetSol still sells the finance platform its auto captive customers have run for decades.
Check AI is designed with a person in the loop at every stage of a credit decision. Analysts question the system through a chat interface, review its insights and refine the outcome, and its recommendations on loan terms, stipulations and structure reach the underwriter as suggestions, with human judgment kept central in every decision workflow. Users can also see the reasoning behind any recommendation from the document processing tools. NetSol does not say what Check AI does on its own before an analyst sees a case, or whether any application can be approved or declined without review.
Users can examine the reasoning behind any AI recommendation, and Check AI promises clearer context and structured analysis, but neither comes with a method. Check AI carries no confidence measure, accuracy figure or validation material a lender's model risk team could work from.
NetSol's figures describe speed rather than accuracy, with intelligent document processing said to cut underwriter manual review time by up to 70 percent and funding approval time by 40 percent, and Check AI's launch leaned on an outside estimate that AI can shorten approval cycles by up to 60 percent.
Revenue reached a record $74.4 million in fiscal 2026, ended June 2026, up 12.5 percent, with Asia Pacific at 68.9 percent, Europe at 18.9 percent and North America at 12.2 percent, according to NetSol's annual report. In fiscal 2025, Daimler accounted for about 19.1 percent of revenue and BMW for about 16.1 percent, and Toyota, Nissan, Ford and FIAT are named among its auto captive customers.
During fiscal 2026 a tier one auto captive signed a $50 million contract extension, BMO Equipment Finance moved to Transcend Finance, a US auto captive went live in China and three US dealerships went live on Transcend Retail. Toyota Leasing Thailand, a customer for more than twenty years, moved its wholesale finance system to the latest Transcend Finance release in April 2026, and a Chinese leasing company went live in Indonesia in July 2025 in under six months. The document processing figures carry no customer name.
NetSol says models can be trained on an organization's own data so clients keep control of their proprietary information, and its fiscal 2026 annual report notes an internal policy on the use of AI platforms and the protection of customer and company confidential information. The policy itself is not public, and no retention term or contract commitment backs those statements.
NetSol does not say whether customer data trains models used for other customers, or what an outside model provider keeps from a request. Transcend can run in the cloud, in a customer managed environment or in a hybrid setup, which keeps data inside a lender's own estate when that is chosen.
The privacy policy applies only to NetSol's websites, including netsoltech.com and the Ascent and mobility sites, and carries no date. It keeps website data for two years after last use, names an EU GDPR representative and the UK Information Commissioner's Office as the complaint body, links a California notice, and lists categories of third parties without naming them.
Borrower and contract data held in Transcend Finance or NFS Ascent falls outside it, and there are no data processing terms for the platform. The annual report names GDPR among the rules NetSol and its customers face, while Indonesian, Thai and other Asian data protection laws go unmentioned.
NetSol's fiscal 2026 annual report states that the company holds ISO 27001, ISO 22301 and ISO 20000 certifications and has completed SOC 2 Type 2 examinations under the Trust Services Criteria. The last examination it announced, in June 2023, was by A-LIGN across its Calabasas, London, Beijing, Sydney and Lahore facilities, following an earlier Type 1 report. A Senior Manager of Information Security runs the cybersecurity program. No certificate, report or trust portal is available, so the scope and dates of the certifications are not public.
NetSol licenses software to finance companies and does not set out a regulatory position of its own. Its annual report says the company and its customers are subject to data protection rules including GDPR and that its products follow applicable cybersecurity frameworks in its main markets, without naming a financial regulator.
The Indonesian go live was described as aligned with local regulatory and operational standards, and Check AI is pitched as supporting compliance through human review. No lending supervisor, license or statute is named, across customers in more than 30 countries.
Check AI makes credit recommendations, and NetSol says its human in the loop design is there to guard against bias and keep decisions accurate and fair. Kamran Khalid, Chief Product and Delivery Officer, said at launch that transparency, explainability, fairness and compliance matter as much as speed, and the Transcend AI Labs launch referred to fair, unbiased data. There is no fairness test, disparate impact analysis or list of the borrower attributes Check AI weighs, and nothing on the reasons given to declined applicants.
Analysts can trace a Check AI recommendation back through the chat interface and the research report behind it, and NetSol says the reasoning behind each AI recommendation can be examined, which gives a lender a way to challenge an output. Transcend's license terms are private, so who bears the loss when a credit recommendation or an extracted figure is wrong is not known, and there is no described route for an affected borrower to contest a decision.
Check AI is built on deep reasoning and agentic workflows, NetSol says, and the AI Assistant and document processing come as embedded modules or as standalone tools reached through APIs. No model provider, model family or subprocessor is named for any of them, and the annual report refers only to advanced AI and cloud services without naming a cloud provider. Hubex, NetSol's API library, routes lenders to outside services for KYC, fraud checks, payments and vehicle valuation without naming the providers behind them.
Transcend Finance is built API first, and Toyota Leasing Thailand's upgrade moved it to a modular, API first architecture whose wholesale finance system connects to OEMs, dealers, brokers, credit bureaus and ERP systems, none of them named. Hubex, launched in 2023 on the AppexNow marketplace, gives lenders and dealers one integration to services such as payment processing, bank account authentication, KYC, fraud checks, driver license verification, address validation and vehicle valuation. Flex, a calculation and quotation engine, is sold the same way. There is no public API reference and no named core banking connection.
Transcend runs in the cloud or in customer managed environments, and its AI modules can run on premises, in the cloud or in a hybrid setup. NetSol still earns license fees for installed software alongside subscriptions, $5.0 million and $35.8 million respectively in fiscal 2026. Which cloud provider hosts the cloud option, and where its data rests, is not named. Hubex and Index, the parameter store, run as cloud services. New operations can go live quickly, and the Indonesian leasing go live took under six months with no data migration.
Transcend Finance, Transcend Retail, Check AI and the add on products are priced by quote. NetSol's filings show how the company is paid, with fiscal 2026 revenue of $5.0 million in license fees, most of it from renewing one existing Transcend agreement, $35.8 million in subscription and support and $33.6 million in services, but not what a lender would pay. Contracts appear only in aggregate, such as a four year, $50 million extension with a tier one auto captive.
Auto and equipment captives are the core market, alongside banks and independent finance companies, leasing companies, brokers and dealers, each with its own material on NetSol's site. Check AI supports captive, non captive and commercial finance. Customers include the Daimler, BMW, Toyota, Nissan, Ford and FIAT captives, MINI Financial Services, BMO, Bank of Hawaii and a multinational UK bank, across more than 30 countries, and a provincial government body in Pakistan is a customer too. Asia Pacific is the largest region, with long running customers in Thailand, China and Australia and a new leasing customer in Indonesia.
