Shufti added an IBAN Check to its Bank Account Verification API and expanded documented coverage from 48 to 109 countries. The IBAN Check validates an IBAN's structure and check digits and returns the bank behind it, without claiming who holds the account, and responses now say whether a result confirms ownership or only the IBAN.
Our readPayments, lending and payout teams can pre validate destination accounts in far more countries through one call, but must read the verification mode, because an IBAN only result does not confirm ownership. Existing integrators should retest, since keys the selected check does not take are now rejected.
