SBS launched SBS AI Foundation, a platform for generative and agentic AI in core banking that banks can run on a private cloud, a managed cloud or fully on premises, so data never leaves their environment. It runs on NVIDIA's stack, with NIM microservices for the AI layer, NeMo Guardrails to keep responses within each bank's regulatory boundaries, and open Nemotron models, and draws on data from SBS core banking, lending, digital banking and regulatory reporting. It is live at Scottish Building Society and now available to SBS's client base.
Our readBanks under strict data residency rules can run generative AI on core banking data without sending it to an outside AI provider, and the named model and guardrail components give model risk and procurement teams a concrete supply chain to review.
