InvestSuite launched Charlie for Advice, an AI agent that banks embed in their own investment app or website to give retail customers personal investment advice. The customer states a goal in plain language, Charlie asks follow up questions, explains the options and builds a proposal with pessimistic, realistic and optimistic outcomes, then stays on to answer questions and rebalance when the portfolio drifts. The bank sets which data, investments and actions Charlie may use and when a human adviser takes over, and MiFID II suitability checks still apply.
Our readBanks that cannot staff advice for customers with smaller sums get an advisory agent with bank set limits and a human handoff, a step beyond the April version of Charlie, which explained but did not advise. InvestSuite says it is available to banks today, but its pilot banks are unnamed and the first live customers are expected in 2027.
